How to fit a trailer hitch on the Demon.

Want to fit a receiver hitch on your Cross SP4 Demon? Follow along with these simple steps and I’ll show you how I did it.

First you will need a trailer hitch of your choice. I used a Yeah Racing hitch part number YEA-TRX4-023.

Square Evergreen styrene part number 255. Which is 5/16 square.

STEP 2

Measure the length of square styrene needed to fill the square hitch part of your Demon’s rear bumper. Cut off this piece. In my case the styrene measured 55mm. Other Demon model trucks may require less, but the process is the same.

STEP 3

Press the hitch into the square styrene as shown, It’s a tight fit! Do not glue the hitch in place! Yet.

STEP 4

Slide the hitch and styrene square into the rear bumper of the truck. Mark the mounting screw hole opening in the bumper mount with a sharpie.

STEP 5

Drill a hole where you marked with the sharpie.

STEP 6

Mount the hitch using a screw of your choice.

STEP 7

Mark the edge of the hitch along the bumper for a cleaner look.

STEP 8

Remove the hitch and cut or sand off excess material down to your mark made along the bumper opening.

STEP 9

I used a sharpie to color in the edges and hide the styrene. You could also choose to paint the styrene if desired.

STEP 10

Reinstall the hitch into the rear bumper using the screw you chose earlier. Now would be a good time to glue the Yeah Racing hitch in place for a more secure mount.

STEP 11

These hitches come with a ball that is not used on this trailer. I replaced it with a 3mm screw.

STEP 12

Your done! Hitch it up and go. See you on the trails.

If you purchase the Yeah Racing hitch from us we will include a small 55mm section of 5/16 square styrene for an additional $.50 to build your own receiver mount.
